Born Olivia Maseko on August 14, 1973, her musical journey began in the Salvation Army choir in the 1980s. After joining the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in 1995, she met her future husband, Charles Charamba, and began her professional career in 1997 as a backing vocalist on his debut album, "Tinashe Akatendeka."
In 2000, Mai Charamba stepped into the spotlight with her seminal debut solo album, "Amen."
